[SMM Hydrogen Energy Policy Update] Henan Province: Notice from the Office of the Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology on Organizing and Conducting the Recommendation Work for Major Industrial Energy-Saving and Carbon-Reducing

Recently, the Office of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province issued a notice on organizing and carrying out the recommendation work for major industrial energy-saving and carbon-reduction technologies and equipment in Henan Province for 2025.

The document points out that the recommended scope of energy-saving and carbon-reduction technologies in the field of industry and information technology includes efficient and low-cost hydrogen production from renewable energy, hydrogen energy utilization, collaborative utilization of new-type energy storage (ESS) and renewable energy, industrial green microgrids, electric energy substitution, clean and efficient utilization of fossil energy such as coal, etc.

It also includes energy recovery and utilization technologies such as cascading utilization of system energy, and recovery and utilization of waste heat, waste pressure, and waste gas, as well as digital and intelligent energy management and control technologies. Additionally, it encompasses digital and green collaborative transformation technologies that utilize new-generation information technologies such as 5G, the Industrial Internet, and big data to achieve information collection, monitoring, intelligent analysis, refined management, and system optimization of energy and material flows, thereby enhancing the management level of energy, resources, and the environment.
